The New Orleans Bar Association will bestow the prestigious Presidents' Award to Leopold Z. Sher, the 2026 recipient. Sher is a co-managing member of Sher Garner Cahill Richter Klein & Hilbert, L.L.C.
The Presidents’ Award recognizes professional excellence, integrity and dedication to service in the highest ideals of citizenship. The award is the highest level of recognition from the Association and is named the “Presidents’ Award” out of respect to the high ideals of community service and leadership displayed by all of the Presidents of the New Orleans Bar Association.
Nominations Deadline: April 30th of each year. Nominations received after the deadline will be considered for the following year’s award.
Criteria
- active commitment to community
- service high moral and spiritual standards
- concern for the social and cultural well-being of all citizens of New Orleans
Eligibility
- membership in New Orleans Bar Association
- lawyers holding or seeking elective office are ineligible
- previous recipients are ineligible
