Summary

Increasingly businesses are looking to integrate non-financial values, goals, and metrics into their business strategies. Will you be ready when a client calls for advice about reporting its environmental, social, and governance risks, practices, and impacts for investors? Or when an entrepreneur needs advice about starting a venture aimed at addressing a pressing societal problem? This one-hour CLE will analyze, interpret, and apply the lawyer’s ethical obligation to act as an advisor under Rule 2.1. The program also introduces transactional lawyers to the basic concepts and ethical considerations of impact investing, corporate social innovation, social intrapreneurship, and other frameworks for incorporating, disclosing, and measuring the societal impacts of corporate behavior.
