The New Orleans Bar Foundation, New Orleans Bar Association’s Criminal Law Committee, Committee Chair Judge Marcus DeLarge and Judge Simone Levine are proud to partner with NAMI Southeast Louisiana and Orleans Parish Court to present a Continuing Legal Education (CLE) session focused on mental illness recognition, crisis de-escalation, and effective resource allocation. This training will equip legal professionals with practical tools to identify signs of mental health conditions, respond appropriately during crises, and connect individuals to community-based services. The session aims to strengthen diversion efforts and support a more compassionate, effective judicial response to individuals living with mental illness.
