The Complex Litigation Committee presents its annual update on recent cases impacting federal jurisdiction, removal, and remand. The panel will discuss recent U.S. Supreme Court, Fifth Circuit, and district court cases analyzing federal question and diversity jurisdiction, as well as related issues including substantive requirements for notices of removal to avoid remand, unique challenges in arbitration cases, improper joinder considerations, post-removal amendments, and other procedural hurdles.
