On June 3, 2026, the New Orleans Bar Association Board of Directors passed a resolution honoring the bicentennial of Chaffe McCall, L.L.P.

Resolution

WHEREAS, Chaffe McCall, L.L.P. was founded in 1826, only fifty years after the signing of the Declaration of Independence and fourteen years after Louisiana achieved statehood, and has continuously served clients, the legal profession, and the community for two centuries; and

WHEREAS, throughout its 200-year history, Chaffe McCall, L.L.P. has maintained a longstanding commitment to professional excellence, integrity, and service, earning distinction as one of the Gulf South’s leading law firms; and

WHEREAS, the firm’s bicentennial represents a remarkable milestone reflecting two centuries of trusted counsel, enduring client relationships, and leadership within the legal profession; and

WHEREAS, attorneys of Chaffe McCall, L.L.P. have made enduring and exemplary contributions to New Orleans Bar Association leadership across generations, including the service of Harry McCall, Sr., President (1943–1944); Alfred C. Kammer, President (1948–1949); Leon Sarpy, President (1950–1951); Harry McCall, Jr., President (1973–1974); and Allain C. Andry, III, President (1986–1987); and

WHEREAS, the firm’s attorneys and professionals have contributed substantially to the development of the law, the advancement of the business community, and the civic life of New Orleans and the region; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Directors of the New Orleans Bar Association hereby recognizes and congratulates Chaffe McCall, L.L.P. upon the occasion of its bicentennial and expresses its appreciation for the firm’s two centuries of service to its clients, the legal profession, and the community; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the New Orleans Bar Association extends its best wishes to Chaffe McCall, L.L.P. as it continues its legacy of professional excellence, leadership, and service in the years ahead.
