The Interplay of Bankruptcy and Domestic Law

The Bankruptcy and Family Law Committees hosted a CLE on "The Interplay of Bankruptcy and Domestic Law" on Thursday, September 18, 2014.  Welcoming a diverse audience of bankruptcy and family law practitioners, the program offered an extensive review of community property in bankruptcy, domestic support obligations, domestic relations exceptions to bankruptcy court jurisdiction, and ethics.  A panel discussion including the Hon. Bernadette D'Souza, the Hon. Douglas Dodd, and Bill Babin concluded the four hour program.  Following the program, attendees enjoyed a social at Marcello's Restaurant and Wine Bar.
