Review of the 2014 Legislative Session

July 18 2014 | News

The New Orleans Bar Association welcomed Rep. Walter J. Leger III, Rep. Joseph P. Lopinto III, and Clancy J. DuBos on Thursday, July 17th for our annual legislative review CLE.  The panel gave a complete rundown on the legislative changes resulting from the 2014 session.  Jokingly referred to as the “wild, wild west”, this year’s legislative session brought new forms and rules regarding expungement, increased penalties for certain offenses of domestic abuse battery, and some changes in prescription, peremption, and procedural law.  For information on this program, please contact NOBA at 525-7453 or email CC Kahr.
