The Women in the Profession Committee is proud to report that Chief Justice Bernette Joshua Johnson received the prestigious Gertrude E. Rush Award from the National Bar Association at their 2019 Mid-Year Conference. This is a distinguished service award that honors lawyers and judges that demonstrate a concern for human and civil rights and provide leadership in legal education, public policy and social activism. The New Orleans Bar Association congratulates FDL Member Chief Justice Johnson on this honor.
