Our well-established, regional, law practice seeks a secretary-paralegal with considerable litigation experience, including familiarity with details of pleading, motion practice, and of course legal research and writing. We work in the are of insurance law, defense of tort claims, regulatory matters, and business and corporate support. A successful candidate will have excellent academics and experience in these or highly similar areas of practice. Candidates without law office word processing and paralegal experience will not be suited to this position. Apply with a resume, salary history, and short sample of your work product. Work is five days per week, about five hours per day. Free parking adjacent to our offices. The position could become full time and if it does there are benefits associated. A law school graduate or new attorney with the required support skills and law office support staff experience may wish to apply; as the position could also grown into associate-level legal work. Please note that a law school degree or education, by itself, will not be an appropriate preparation for this job which requires actual paralegal and secretarial skills from day one.
