Law and Tech Talk: University Collaboration and Technology Transfer
{1 Hour CLE}

The New Orleans Bar Association's Technology Committee introduces the "Law and Tech Talk" Speaker Series ("LTT"), which features local professionals who are at the forefront of the intersection oflaw, business, and technology. LTT brings together leaders in law, business, government, and technology to discuss cutting-edge legal issues and help participants gain realworld insights to elevate their practices, all in a laid-back, open environment. This month's LTT on University Collaboration and Technology Transfer features professionals who lead the technology transfer offices or other external collaboration efforts of area universities. The discussion will focus on the legal and practical issues surrounding collaborations with universities, such as opportunities and challenges associated with using federal and state funded research, tapping into faculty expertise, and working with various departments and stakeholders to develop and commercialize products. There will also be an opportunity for participants to ask questions to better understand the practical realities of university collaborations.
