This program will concentrate on new attorneys and the basics of initial filing to service. Dale Atkins will present the basics of filing a civil action, and the Honorable Rachael Johnson and Richard Perque will speak on procedure and professionalism when dealing with court staff.

On October 3, 2014, NOBA "Welcomed the Irish." It is undeniable that the Irish have played a prominent role in shaping and influencing the New Orleans Bar, Judiciary, and local politics. Chief Judge Jim McKay, of the LA 4th Circuit, spoke and offered a multimedia presentation while attendees sampled the flavor of all things Irish, including complimentary Irish delicacies and libations.
On June 13, 2014, the committee held a free massage and stress relief seminar.
