Kim Sport, Chair of the Domestic Violence Law Committee, and Steven Lane, Chair of the Family Law Committee, co-hosted a CLE on June 20th, 2018 discussing Domestic Abuse: A Legislative Wrap Up
On Monday, October 9, the Committee along with the Courts and the Family Law Committees of Jefferson and St. Tammany hosted a Family Law Meet & Greet.
On April 12, the Committee presented "Domestic Violence from the Perspective of the Judiciary, Attorneys, and Mental Health Professionals" CLE.
On September 21, Frank Tranchina presented "Evidence Issues - Objections, Admissibility, and Code of Evid. Art. 101" CLE.
On July 6, the Committee held the first CLE of the Lunch & Learning CLE Series. Sally Richardson presented "Goodwill and Valuation."
On November 2, 2015, the Committee held "Mediation From the Standpoint of Judges and Experienced Mediators," a joint CLE with the ADR Committee.
On October 7, 2015, Frank Tranchina Jr. discussed "New Title IV Rules and Appendices for Family Law Proceedings."
On June 30th, 2015, Judges Regina H. Woods and Judge Clare F. Jupiter will discussed with attorneys such issues as how they intend to manage their court now that they are newly elected to the general civil docket; do's and don'ts for attorneys, pet peeves etc. Judge Kern A. Reese, as Chief Judge, gave his input based on his lengthy time on the bench.
