Legal Support Staff Positions



National law firm seeking Office Administrator for its Lafayette office. The position reports to the firm’s Chief Administrative Officer and the local Office Managing Partner. Responsibilities include supervision of all non-attorney staff, including paralegals, and heavy human resources, facilities, and office services responsibilities. Some financial, technology, and marketing activities may be required but are mostly handled from the firm’s Los Angeles office. Attorney recruitment experience and office relocation and/or remodeling experience are a plus.

Preferred education level is Bachelor’s degree in related field or a minimum of 5 years work-related experience as a Legal Administrator or in a similar managerial role as current position. Ideal candidates are team oriented; have excellent management and leadership skills; ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing; willingness to take on firm-wide projects as appropriate; strong cost control skills; professional, fair, and respectful demeanor; ability to work well with superiors, peers, and subordinates; and able to enforce the firm’s policies and procedures in a consistent and fair manner. Must also have experience with a defense-side law firm. Experience with insurance carriers is a plus.

Law firm seeking office manager --  acts as liaison to Managing Partner and Management Committee in implementation of all Firm policies and oversees all back office functions for 15 Lawyer Firm, including active involvement with and oversight of accounting, billing and collections functions, as well as oversight of outsourced functions including payroll posting (Netchex), IT oversight (outsourced to CT Nola); telecom (Fonality); maintenance of all personnel and benefit files and programs; coordination of tax return preparation, and scheduling and logistics for firm events.
