LSU Health Sciences Center - New Orleans (LSUHSC-NO) is seeking an executive level administrative professional with demonstrated analytical, communication and organizational skills for the position of Coordinator of Legal Affairs. This position will be responsible for coordinating a complex range of activities for the department of Legal Affairs including researching and synthesizing legal work product, interviewing potential witnesses, proofreading and editing legal documents, filing motions and pleadings and maintenance of the law library. Additional administrative duties will include creating and maintaining databases and files, coordinating attorney schedules, meetings and travel arrangements and the collection of delinquent payment. The Coordinator of Legal Affairs reports to the General Counsel.
Position Qualifications: The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree and have at least 3 years of professional experience. Alternately, the candidate will possess an Associate’s degree with 5 years administrative experience as a paralegal, legal assistant, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications: Possession of Paralegal certification is desired.
