Recent Events:

On October 14th, Judge Eldon Fallon and Kerry Miller discussed "Common Issues With Foreign Manufacturers in Products Liability Litigation" CLE.

On June 23, the committee held a planning meeting to discuss current developments and upcoming program ideas.

On November 11, 2015, The Hon. Robin Giarrusso, Irving Warshauer and Dawn Barrios held a panel discussion on issues encountered by counsel in connection with settlements of complex liability cases.

On February 19, 2015, the committee held a planning meeting.

On July 16, 2014, the committee had a round table discussion on the impact of media on products liability (and other) litigation, Redhibition actions in products liability cases, effective use of experts in products liability litigation, and cost containment in these matters.

On April 16, 2014, The Hon. Lance M. Africk, Jim Irwin, and Hugh P. Lambert led a panel discussion on recent developments in products liability CLE. The CLE discussed the connection between the Louisiana Products Liability Act (LPLA) and redhibition, admissibility of expert testimony (pretrial – Daubert and at trial – authentication, foundation, etc.), and preemption.
