Procrastinators' Programs (sm) CLE in New Orleans 2015

Lawyers Are Selective.
Lawyers Care About Which CLE Programs They Attend.
That's Why Lawyers Choose New Orleans Bar Association.

Lawyers know NOBA's Procrastinators'  Programs (sm) are the top CLE seminars in the state of Louisiana. Attend a NOBA CLE seminar and hear federal and state court judges along with the most experienced and articulate lawyers on issues that New Orleans area lawyers want. In December alone, NOBA offers over 60 hours of the highest quality CLE programming so that lawyers can pick and choose which programs best suit their needs. NOBA has been the leader in providing the highest quality continuing legal education for almost 90 years, long before mandatory "CLE" was created.

Pick Masters of the Courtroom for Your CLE Programming.
NOBA features master lawyers and judges for the Masters of the Courtroom (sm) and Masters of Jury Selection (sm) CLE programs in December. Hear federal and state court judges along with the top plaintiff and defense lawyers on litigation. When choosing CLE programs, spend your time wisely learning from lawyers who are widely acknowledged as the most successful litigators in our courts.

What Does the Bar Association Support?
NOBA programs fund legal services for the poor through Southeast Louisiana Legal Services and The Pro Bono Project. We provide free CLE scholarships and free membership dues for the Orleans Public Defender's Office, the Orleans District Attorney's Office and the New Orleans City Attorney's Office. We provide membership dues waivers and CLE scholarships for lawyers in financial need. NOBA provides over 20 hours of FREE CLE programs to members each year. And we find solutions for lawyers in crisis through the SOLACE network.

What Does NOBA Do?
NOBA provides the highest quality programming in New Orleans and supports many diverse areas of need in our city and legal community. NOBA has over 60 committees, 30 of them substantive law committees where lawyers meet to talk about common legal issues, finding solutions to complex issues, advancing their practices and helping them make valuable contacts. At the Bench Bar Conference, our members meet with over 40 state and federal judges discussing issues which further the profession. We voiced our members’ opinion on judicial system efficiency by urging support for the work of the Louisiana Supreme Court’s Judicial Council to determine the structure and function of the courts. NOBA continues to speak for building a new courthouse for the Civil District Court and for electronic filing in Civil District Court.

Why Does NOBA Have One of the Most Successful Young Lawyers Sections (YLS) in the U.S.?
Young lawyers are integrated in the legal community through extensive training and interaction with the judges, the courts and other government entities. The YLS is one of the most successful and active sections in the country with programs ranging from relevant CLE for young lawyers to community service programs and social events. There are four (4) FUNdraisers that benefit legal services for the poor, such as the bowling tournament, the lawyers' cooking competition, the lawyer band competition, and the golf tournament.

Why Support NOBA?
Lawyers pick New Orleans Bar Association because it's the most important investment you make in your career. And New Orleans lawyers need a strong voice looking out for them in the local legal community.  Lawyers support New Orleans Bar Association because it's the only bar association devoted exclusively to the New Orleans bench and bar, who speaks out on issues in our area. It's why we've been leading the legal community for almost 90 years and will continue to do so with New Orleans lawyers in mind.
