Where Can I Fish Without Trespassing?
The presentation will be an examination of the ongoing conflict between Louisiana landowners and fishermen. In Louisiana, the term "if you can float it, you can boat it" does not apply, meaning that although an area may be accessible by boat, you do not necessarily have the right to fish on it. This causes a big problem in a state where ever changing wetlands and eroding coastal marshes have changed the landscape dramatically from what it was over 200 years ago when Louisiana was formed and property lines were drawn.

Speaker:
Cayce C. Peterson, The Lambert Firm, PLC

4:50 pm - 5:50 pm
