There will be a lunch planning meeting for the NOBA Drug and Device Committee at noon on March 19, 2019 at the NOBA Office - 650 Poydras Street, Suite 1505, New Orleans, LA 70130. Lunch will be served. We will be discussing possible CLE topics and other events of interest. Please feel free to invite colleagues who may be interested in this Committee.

April 2018 -- Opioid Litigation: Something Old or Something New?

 


Recent Events:

On May 24th, 2018, a happy hour social, co-hosted by the Products Liability Pharmaceudical/Medical Devices committees was held at the Ace Hotel New Orleans.

On April 5th, a planning meeting intended to develop priorities and goals for the coming year, brainstorm about CLE topics, and consider other types of programming that would benefit our members.

May 26, the committee held a breakfast meeting to discuss current developments and upcoming dates and topics for CLEs.

On October 13, 2015, the committee held "Mass Tort Settlements: A Discussion From Phen-Fen to Actos and Everything in Between" CLE with James Dugan, Dugan Law Firm.

On October 7, 2014, the Pharmaceuticals & Medical Devices Committee held the "Multi-District Litigation: A View From the Bench" with Multi-District Litigation (MDL) Judge Eldon E. Fallon & Judge Sarah S. Vance.

On March 25, 2014 the Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Committee welcomed Leonard A. Davis, Herman Herman & Katz, who discussed discovery, production of confidential/trade secret information and clawbacks.
