The Young Lawyers Section and Minorities in the Profession Committee will sponsor a Legal Fair on Saturday, April 22, 2017, from 9:00 a.m. until 12 noon. The Legal Fair will be held at AARP, which is located at 3502 South Carrollton Avenue, New Orleans, Louisiana 70118. Volunteers are needed with experience in the areas of family law; successions; criminal law; and social security. We will also need volunteers to provide notarial services. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Camille Bryant.

On Thursday, October 22, 2015, the YLS joined the Dallas Young Lawyers Section for a Cheers for Charity happy hour at the Rusty Nail!
On Saturday, November 7, 2015, the YLS had a build day with the St. Bernard Project, an organization that started shortly after Hurricane Katrina.
The YLS had their annual Golf Tournament on October 9th, which allowed participants to link up with their fellow lawyers, law clerks, and friends on the golf course to support Southeast Louisiana Legal Services, which provides free legal help to poor people in danger of losing the most funamental of human needs.
The Pro-Bowl-O Tournament was held on Sunday, August 9, 2015 at Rock ‘n Bowl on Carrollton Ave in New Orleans. Lanes opened at 1 p.m.; play lasted from 1 - 4 p.m. Ticket purchase includes play time, shoes, and food and drinks during the event. Prizes for highest individual and team scores as well as best team costume and tackiest pair of bowling shoes. The proceeds went to The Pro Bono Project.
The Dos and Don'ts for Summer Law Clerks was held on June 10th at the NOBA office. Brian Quirk, Conrad Meyer, Cherardy, Sarah C. Wellman were the speakers and offered great insight on everything law clerks wanted to know but were to afraid to ask about summer clerkships, conduct, attire, and etiquette.
