Legal Causation in Louisiana Toxic Tort Cases

John Baay and William Barousse, both from Gieger Laborde, explored "Legal Causation in Louisiana Toxic Tort Cases" at a CLE held on Wednesday, September 24, 2014. Hosted by the Environmental Law/Toxic Torts Committee, the program reviewed relevant terminology, the evolution of legal causation in toxic tort cases in Louisiana State Courts, the current state of the law and ways in which plaintiff's burdens are met, legal causation in toxic tort cases in federal courts sitting in Louisiana, and current pending litigation in Louisiana Appellate Courts regardking legal causation in toxic tort cases.  The speakers highlighted key decisions out of state district, state appellate, and federal courts in the past few years.
