Robert H. Murphy was the honored guest at the annual Maritime & International Law Committee's Distinguished Maritime Lawyer Award Ceremony and Luncheon on October 28, 2013. In addition to members of his firm, Murphy Rogers Sloss & Gambel, Mr. Murphy was joined by past award recipients, colleagues, family and friends. Members of the bench and bar participated in the ceremony including the Hon. Lance M. Africk, Andre Mouledoux, and Peter Tompkins who spoke on Mr. Murphy's contribution to the maritime legal community. Throughout the course of his career, Bob’s practice has focused primarily on the representation of ship owners, marine insurers and other maritime interests in a wide array of admiralty and maritime matters, including personal injury defense, vessel collisions and allisions, and maritime liens. NOBA President Timothy F. Daniels and Maritime and International Law Committee Chair Philip S. Brooks presided over the award presentation which was held at the JW Marriott.
