Class-Action Procedure Since Wal-Mart v. Dukes CLE

This presentation will provide an update on class-certification jurisprudence in Louisiana in the five years since the 2011 SCOTUS decision in Wal-Mart v. Dukes, 564 U.S. 338 (2011). Dukes clarified the rigorous analysis to be applied in class-certification cases. Specifically, this talk will explore whether or to what extent Dukes, as well as the related case of Comcast Corp. v. Behrand, 133 S. Ct. 1426 (2013), has impacted class-certification jurisprudence in Louisiana.
