Judicial Poll

Lawyers Voice Opinion on Judicial Candidates for November 8, 2016 Election

The New Orleans Bar Association (NOBA) asked all judicial candidates running with opposition to fill out a Judicial Candidate Information Form, which NOBA has posted online. Judicial Candidate Information Forms provide biographcial sketches of candidates and give candidates the opportunity to provide their perspectives on why they are well-suited to uphold well-accepted principles essential to a strong and vibrant judicial system.

NOBA polled members regarding their preferences for New Orleans-based judicial candidates running with opposition in the November 8, 2016 election. Active NOBA members were eligible to vote in the online poll, and voting was held from August 12th - August 26th. Each member was asked to vote for their first choice of candidates running for contested judicial seats, and 231 members voted. The results of this poll do not in any way represent an endorsement by the New Orleans Bar Association and reflect only the views of the Association’s individual members. Numbers are rounded to the nearest decimal.
