What is Bar & Grille?

Join the Young Lawyers Section of the New Orleans Bar Association in its seventh annual New Orleans Bar & Grille. Teams of amateur chefs from local companies and law firms participate in a cook off at the Peristyle in City Park.

The event offers family, friends, and the general public plenty of entertainment including live music, free drinks, and, of course, a sampling of the dishes that are prepared on site. Although teams are not limited in what particular dish they prepare, teams will compete for:

  • Best Local Favorite
  • Best Dessert
  • Most Creative
  • Best Booth Decoration
  • Crowd Favorite
  • Best Overall

The event will include a silent auction of items donated from local businesses.  Last year's silent auction offered a variety of items ranging from hotel stays to local artwork. Check out a sampling of our 2010 Silent Auction items.

The event helps raise money for Southeast Louisiana Legal Services, a non-profit

corporation that serves individuals and families who, without legal assistance, would lose a

critical human need - food, shelter, income, medical care, personal safety or parental care.
