Sunday, March 11th from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Peristyle in City Park

 

We are pleased to announce that the Young Lawyers Section of the New Orleans Bar Association is hosting the 16th Annual New Orleans Bar & Grille, in which teams of amateur chefs from local law firms participate in a cook off at the Peristyle in City Park on Sunday, March 11, 2018, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The event offers family, friends and the general public plenty of entertainment. All tickets include free drinks and, of course, a sampling of the dishes that are prepared on site!

The Bar & Grille law firm cooking competition is a fundraiser for the Veterans Justice Fellowship, embedded within the VA Hospital. This prestigious fellowship provides life-changing civil legal help to address the needs of low-income veterans. The New Orleans Bar & Grille is a unique opportunity that brings the legal community and private business together to fund the fellowship.

 

Individual Tickets

Tickets are $30.00 if purchased in advance, and $35.00 the day of. Each ticket allows entry into the event to sample food and specialty cocktail items. There will also be an open bar, featuring state and federal judges who will be our bartenders! 
***Please note, anyone under the age of 12 can attend for free

 
Team Registration

Cost for team participation is only $175 or $200, depending on whether or not electricity is needed, and includes entry for a three-member team of chefs.  Further details and complete rules and regulations will be provided upon registration.  General admission for the public is $30 per person donation in advance and $35 at the door (children under 12 free with an adult). Although teams are not limited in what particular dish they prepare, teams will compete for “Best Local Favorite”, “Best Dessert”, “Most Creative”, “Best Booth Decoration”, “Crowd Favorite” and “Best Overall”  titles awarded by distinguished local judges.
