What is the legal impact of Green building and the desire for sustainability, the reduction in the carbon footprint and energy consumption on new and existing commercial buildings?

This two hour CLE will explore construction law and the regulations involving Green building including:

  • A discussion of the International Green Construction Code (IGCC), a model code sponsored by the American Institute of Architects, US Green Building Council, American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Engineers, Inc., Illuminating Engineers Society, ASTM International, and the International Code Council.
  • An examination of the ramifications of IGCC's recommendations from voluntary green construction certifications to mandatory green construction codes.
